VOLUNTEERISM FLOURISHES IN OUR CHURCH AND COMMUNITY
Did you know . . .?
Your elected Board members are all volunteers who spend countless hours
keeping the Church and Community operating as smoothly as possible.
All church services are supported by volunteer chanters, altar boys, and other
helpers.
The members / volunteers of Philoptochos and Met Youth plan programs and
fundraising events in support of many worthy causes, including the church.
Many continued to work during the pandemic and provided take-out meals
throughout the year. Senior and youth volunteers worked together to plan,
prep, cook, pack, and deliver meals for Greekfest.

During Holy Week, and including Easter Sunday, our church welcomed and appreciated the assistance of various individuals:

We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for celebrating Easter with us!

‘Thank You’ to the beautiful ‘myrofores’ who encircled the Epitafio. We are
grateful for you!
‘Thank You’ Larry and Anna Parthenis and Astros restaurant for generously
donating the flowers for the Epitafio and Icons, which the Philoptochos members (and others) decorated so beautifully.
‘Thank You’ Philoptochos Ladies Society who dyed all the Easter eggs and
prepared ‘prosforo’ and ‘paximadia’.
‘Thank You’ to the new Coffee Committee for providing coffee and cookies / cakes every Sunday for our after-church fellowship.
‘Thank You’ Jenny Lailey for coordinating and chairing our Casino.
‘Thank You’ to all the casino volunteers, most of whom worked both nights of the casino.
